How Do You Clean A Fabric Sofa?
A fabric sofa can look fantastic and offer a cozy place to snuggle up and watch your favorite shows or read a book. However, when it comes to keeping a fabric sofa clean, it can be a nightmare. Spills are something that just happens no matter how careful you might be. Unless you want to cover your nice cozy sofa with plastic, you are going to need to learn how to properly clean the fabric if you want to keep them looking nice for a long time.
First, make sure that you read the cleaning instructions from your manufacturer. Most of the time this information can be found on the tags of your sofa. Most often you will see one of four letters on this tag. If there is a W, it means that you can use water to clean the surface. If there is an S, you need to make sure that you use a solvent-based cleaner and not water. A WS means you can use either a solvent-based cleaner or water. An X means that you can only vacuum the sofa.
If your sofa is stained, use the proper method mentioned to clean it. If it is a vacuum only sofa, you should use an attachment on your vacuum to clean up the spot. You might be able to use a steam function to properly clean the area.
